Bay State Savings Bank Charitable Foundation Awards $15,000 in Grants to Local Non-profit Organizations

WORCESTER, MA / November 2014 – Bay State Savings Bank recently awarded $15,000 in grants to eight local non-profit organizations through its Charitable Foundation. Among the recipients were: African Community Education Program, Inc.; Boys & Girls Club of Worcester; Community Harvest Project, Inc.; First Night Worcester, Inc.; Friendly House, Inc.; Music Worcester, Inc.; Regional Environmental Council, Inc. and Worcester Youth Center, Inc. Each organization received a grant to support a specific program or initiative.
“The Bank is very pleased to be able to award these grants to deserving non-profit organizations.” said Diane Giampa, Bay State Savings Bank SVP/Human Resources & Marketing and Charitable Foundation Clerk. “The work they do directly improves the lives of people in our local community, and it is important to the Bank to support that.”
