Bay State Savings Bank Awards Scholarships

WORCESTER, MA: June 2014 – Bay State Savings Bank announced today that it has awarded seven $500 scholarships and one four-year, $4,000 scholarship to eight area high school seniors based on their academic achievements, character and service to community.
One student was chosen from each of six public high schools in Worcester and two students chosen from Auburn High School. The $500 scholarship recipients were: Burncoat High School – Brian Bates; Claremont Academy – Shelly Lam; Doherty High School – Klajdi Kosovrasti; North High School – Michelle Addai; South High School – Frank Manu; University Park – Jimmy Phan, and Auburn High School – Katelyn Pike (Elizabeth Roy Memorial Scholarship). Bay State Savings Bank's 4-year, $4,000 scholarship presented annually to an Auburn High School student was awarded to Jeanelle Wheeler.
