Bay State Savings Bank Charitable Foundation Awards $13,190.00 in Grants to Eight Local Non-profit Organizations

WORCESTER, MA / March 2016 – Bay State Savings Bank recently awarded $13,190.00 in grants to eight local non-profit organizations through its Charitable Foundation. Among the recipients were: Barton Center for Diabetes Education, Inc.; Edward Street Child Services; Girl Scouts of Central & Western MA; Regional Environmental Council, Inc.; Rise Above Foundation, Inc.; Straight Ahead Ministries, Inc.; Valley Residents for Improvement, Inc. and Worcester County 4-H Center, Inc. (Camp Marshall). Each organization received a grant to support a specific program or initiative.
“The Bank is very pleased to be able to award these grants to deserving non-profit organizations,” said Diane Giampa, Bay State Savings Bank SVP/Human Resources & Marketing and Charitable Foundation Clerk. “The work they do positively impacts the lives of people in our local community, and it is important to the Bank to support their efforts.”
