Bay State Savings Bank Celebrates Employee Appreciation Day - March 4, 2016
March 4, 2016
WORCESTER, MA: March 2016 - Today is "Employee Appreciation Day," and even though Bay State Savings Bank appreciates its employees EVERY day, we'd like to publicly thank all of our employees for the efforts in making our company successful.
We also want to take this opportunity to recognize two employees who have recently gone above and beyond expectations to achieve special honors within the Bank.
Kathryn Miller Desroches is the deserving recipient of the 2015 President's Award for Community Service. This award is given annually to the employee who has performed the most community service during the year. With close to 100 hours of volunteering with organizations like The Mustard Seed, Pancreatic Cancer Alliance, United Way, Community Cat Connection, American Cancer Society and Girls Inc., Kathryn exemplifies the Bank's culture and philosophy of giving back to the community in which she lives and works.
The Employee of the Quarter Award honors an employee who has been nominated by his/her co-workers for service above and beyond normal expectations. The first winner of 2016 is Joseph Ewing, Assistant Branch Manager of our Holden Office.
Joe has been described as flexible, patient and easy-going. He takes the time to answer questions, rarely says no to a request and never complains. In recent months, Joe has proven his indispensability through his willingness to assume additional responsibilities, while continuing to meet his existing obligations.
Thank you to both Joe and Kathryn for your exceptional commitment to Bay State Savings Bank !!!
