Bay State Savings Bank Awards Scholarships

WORCESTER, MA: June 2017 – Bay State Savings Bank announced recently that it has awarded six $500 scholarships and one four-year, $4,000 scholarship to seven area high school seniors based on their academic achievements, character, financial need and service to community.
One student was chosen from each of five public high schools in Worcester and two students were chosen from Auburn High School. The $500 scholarship recipients were: Burncoat High School – Kylie Thomas; Claremont Academy – Camiron Reyes; North High School – Faustina Owusu; University Park Campus – Amanda Borelli; Worcester Technical High School – Casey Colon, and Auburn High School – Rachel Hernlaye (Elizabeth Roy Memorial Scholarship awarded to the banking student with the highest GPA). Bay State Savings Bank's 4-year, $4,000 scholarship presented annually to an Auburn High School student was awarded this year to Monica Tran.
