At the 2009 Taste of Shrewsbury Street, Champions for Children raised funds for ForgeWorks Farm, whose representatives are pictured above.  ForgeWorks provides therapeutic horseback riding programs and hippotherapy for special needs children.  They use licensed riding instructors and friendly horses to achieve specific goals such as balance, coordination, verbilization, and physical, emotional and cognitive strengthening.




Ryan Duffy, one of four very brave and selfless Bay State Savings Bank employees who agreed to be in the dunk tank at the 2009 Taste of Shrewsbury Street, dressed up as an escaped prisoner and heckled the crowd for donations.  He made quite the splash. 




These two young ladies had their fortunes read at Bay State Savings Bank's lot a the 2009 Taste of Shrewsbury Street.  Card readings were provided for a $5 donation to Champions for Children.  All of the proceeds went to the Bank's champion, ForgeWorks Farm.




Participants in Bay State Savings Bank's 2009 $5000 Ski Drop, held Friday, Feb. 27, 2009 at Wachusett Mountain in Princeton, had an opportunity to dig in the snow for glow sticks that could be redeemed for cash prizes. The event, which was co-sponsored by Bay State Savings Bank, Wachusett Mountain and Citadel Communications, raised $4,000 for the Champions For Children program. The funds were donated to the Earth Discovery Center at Southwick's Zoo for scholarships to their summer camps.




Champions for Children and WXLO took over part of the Wachusett Mountain Base Lodge during the 2009 $5000 Ski Drop event on February 27th with an enormous Guitar Hero contest.  Contestants donated $5 per song to compete in the three levels of play.  The winner of the "expert" level won a $250 gift card to GameStop, while the "hard" and "medium" level winners won $150 and $50 gift cards, respectively.

The Bay State Savings Bank and YouthGROW tents got plenty of attention during the 2008 Taste of Shrewsbury Street with a dunk tank, balloon-pop races and lots of prizes!  During this event, Bay State Savings Bank's Champions for Children program raised over $6,300 for YouthGROW.





The Bank filled the lodge at Wachusett Mountain during the $5,000 Ski Drop, February 29, 2008, with a new fundraising game: The Lollipop Tree.  Coupled with a fierce Guitar Hero competition and the loud and colorful prize wheel, Champions for Children raised more than $5,000 for the Perkins School in Lancaster.




A fierce Guitar Hero competition was held during the 2008 $5,000 Ski Drop at Wachusett Mountain.  At the end of the night, the player with the highest score was awarded a $250 gift card to GameStop!  The competition was tough throughout the night and helped the Bank raise more than $5,000 for the Perkins School through Champions for Children.




The Bay State Savings Bank tent drew in the crowds with a dunk tank, high striker and pie eating contests during the 2007 Taste of Shrewsbury Street event.  All funds raised during the event went to the Bank newest Champion for Children, Baby's Breath.




The Bank's huge prize wheel delighted winners of all ages at the 2007 Taste of Shrewsbury Street event.  From concert tickets to candy, the wheel had a little something for everyone.




Splash down!  Chris Engel of 100FM The Pike, volunteered to be a dunkee to raise money for Baby's Breath at the 2007 Taste of Shrewsbury Street.




Tom "The Yankee" riled the crowds as nighttime approached at the 2007 Taste of Shrewsbury Street event.  Red Sox fans made generous donations to be sure that Tom was dunked repeatedly.

Bay State Savings Bank and the Worcester Sharks raised over $12,000 for The Devereux Center through its Champions For Children program during the recent "Dinner with a Shark" event held in January.  Shown, left to right, are Michael A. Many others participated in the Bay State Winter Games during the Bank's 2007 $5,000 Ski Drop at Wachusett Mountain, including these young winners who gave the prize wheel several spins.  Overall, the Ski Drop raised $4,500 for the Bank's Champions for Children program, which honored The Joy of Music Program of Worcester as its new Champion. 





The first $100 red glow stick winner of Bay State Savings Bank's 2007 $5,000 Ski Drop took a moment to pose with Sarah Hoogasian and Diane Giampa of Bay State Savings Bank.  Throughout the competition, 134 other diggers uncovered red, blue and green glow sticks in the snow, worth $100, $10 and $5, respectively.



Bay State Savings Bank raised more than $6,000 for National Education for Assistance Dog Services (NEADS) through its Champions For Children fundraiser during "Taste of Shrewsbury Street 2006." The first $100 green glow stick winner of Bay State Savings Bank's 2006 $5,000 Ski Drop took a moment to pose with Sarah Hoogasian and Diane Giampa of Bay State Savings Bank and three-time WBA Welterweight Champion, Jose Antonio Rivera. Throughout the competition, three other lucky participants uncovered green glow sticks, worth $100 each.

In December of 2004, Bay State Savings Bank teamed up with the College of the Holy Cross for a Community Champions fundraiser to benefit the McAuley Nazareth Home for Boys in Leicester, Mass.
